Marketing Coordinator

Overview

Hippopost is looking for an exceptional co-op for the role of Marketing Coordinator. Do you want to be part of an exciting emergent media startup? This will not be your typical co-op position. This is an incredibly fast paced environment; one that requires an energetic, self-starter with a passion for web and mobile technology that rivals his/her enthusiasm for the marketing discipline.

You are going to wear a lot of different hats, you will be thrown into various projects, assignments and tasks – some big, some small – all incredibly important as we manage exponential company growth. While this is a Mon-Fri gig – and we try to manage reasonable business hours – if you’re looking for a straight 9-5 position, apply elsewhere…

However, if you feel like coordinating directly with multinational brands like Coke, Mitsubishi, Nestle or Expedia, supporting our sales team, managing our social marketing execution, and stuff we haven’t even thought of yet – send us your resume.

Responsibilities

Key skills include a marketing background, strong written and oral communications, and capable project management and a maturity that allows you to work independently as required. You will be asked to hone and demonstrate your leadership, decision-making, analytical and problem-solving skills. You will be required to be creative, flexible and have the ability to manage and reset priorities in a rapidly changing environment. Preference will be given to candidates with experience and an aptness for marketing technical products and services.
